Whether you're trekking across sprawling mountain peaks or trudging through the lowland backcountry, it won't take long for one simple mantra to kick in and make itself painfully aware: ounces equal pounds, and pounds equal pain. When you factor hunting for big game into the mix, where opportunities are slim and hardships are plenty, the stakes are even higher. Every piece of gear that you hike in with shouldn't weigh heavy - neither on your back nor in your mind.

Enter Christensen Arms: as a well-vetted and world-renowned producer of top tier & American made firearms, their Mesa line offers outdoorsmen an accurate, light, and rugged rifle that won't break the bank.

Designed from the very start to be lightweight, every facet of the Mesa's construction reflects this priority: a featherlight contour stainless steel barrel, a fluted bolt & bolt handle, and a carbon fiber composite stock all lend to the Mesa's final weight of 6.5 pounds unloaded.

Despite being lightweight, Christensen Arms made no compromises in retaining the Mesa's reliability and handling: an enlarged ejection port, M16-style bolt extractor, and a Tungsten Cerakote finish ensure the rifle's durability in adverse conditions while the enlarged rubber buttpad, threaded radial muzzle brake, and fluted bolt knob aid in shooting the Mesa comfortably and accurately.

Chambered in Hornady's new 6.5 PRC (Precision Rifle Cartridge), the Mesa is more than capable of accurate & consistent long range shots with minimal recoil, flat trajectory, and maximum energy on target all while utilizing a short action.

A rifle with similar features usually needs to be custom built - with custom built prices attached. The Christensen Arms Mesa retails for below $1,300, and it can be yours for substantially less.
